Throwback . . .

Today I found my old blog when I was looking through the websites on my favorites list. I forgot about this. What a throwback. I cannot remember when I started this blog, though I do have a blog post that tells me I did! Ha! In case anyone was wondering, this is what I have been up to:

  • I never did date anyone at my high school, just like I said.
  • I actually took the ACT two more times, and got a 30!
  • I graduated high school as valedictorian of my class. Go Class of 2015!
  • I am in college now for Theatre Arts!
  • I am an adult now, but I'm in that awkward stage where I'm not quite 21! Maybe I should change the name of this blog to Musings of a Teenage Adult. Ha!
  • I've really been enjoying college, way more than high school! High school sucked!
Maybe now that I have rediscovered this blog, I could start posting again. If I forget again, I hope people just enjoy what I have posted in the past.

Until I post again,
The Teenage Adult

Great Day!!

Wow! Today was an all around amazing day! It all started at about 7:55 am. I went online to check my ACT scores, and to see if they were posted. Oh boy, were they posted! I GOT A 29!!!! ON THE FIRST TRY!!! HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!?!?!?!?!? I AM SO HAPPY YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!! I JUST GOT MYSELF INTO COLLEGE!!!

And my day just got better from there! I got to third hour and gave my persuasive speech on traditional books vs. e-books. It went well! I'm glad I got it over with! I think persuaded some people to read books in print format!

IT GETS BETTER!!! We performed our play today for grades 3-12. I thought I did AMAZE-BALLS!! I was so proud! We did have some cue trouble, ok a lot of cue trouble, and we skipped one part, but overall, it went well! I hope we do really well tomorrow at regionals! I hope I get a superior acting award, or at least an honorable mention.

Between, ACTs, speech, and the play, IT WAS AN AWESOME DAY!!

To all the theater people, including to myself,
break a leg!

Homecoming

Well, homecoming was last night for my school. Yeah, it wasn't the most spirited week. Barely anyone was at the game. I blame the cold. It was fun though, and I got to say I went to one game.

The most surprising part? WE WON. We haven't won our homecoming game for a couple of years. I don't think the other school was trying though, and most of their team was made up of middle schoolers. We only had 2 seniors this year, and one of them didn't even play. This marks 2 games our football team has won this year. That's way better than last year I think. We aren't the best team, and that's putting it lightly.

Then we had the dance. My favorite part? I TAUGHT EVERYONE HOW TO WOBBLE. I WAS SO HAPPY BECAUSE I HAD BEEN WAITING FOREVER TO TEACH PEOPLE THAT DANCE AND WE STARTED AND LIKE NO ONE KNEW WHAT TO DO AND SOMEONE WAS LIKE, "(MY NAME) KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS!" AND THEY ALL FOLLOWED MY LEAD I ONLY HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH THE LAST STEP BUT WE ALL GOT IT RIGHT LATER AND IT WAS AMAZING.

It was also my sister's first dance, and that was fun for her. It was one of the better homecoming dances we had, so I'm glad she got to go to a good one.

When is your homecoming?

Catch-Up Day

Do any of you ever feel overwhelmed with homework? I'm feeling that this year. I have so much homework, it's a wonder I'm keeping up. Barely, though. I have 3 books to read for English. I have 2 math assignments. I also just did my Spanish homework. I'm writing an outline for my informative speech. I have U.S. History. AND I have to outline a chapter for advanced biology and finish a worksheet. You could say I'm a little busy.

All this couldn't have come at a better week *sarcastic.* This week is homecoming week, it's stupid though, because we have Monday off, and our parade is a couple days before the actual game. It's really messed up. I blame it on our principal. He sucks at his job. Honestly though, I don't think anyone is in the homecoming spirit this week. I think everyone just wants it to be done. It's sad.

I'm staying positive. I'm glad I have an extra day to get my homework done. I'm calling it, "Catch-Up Day." It's the day I created for homecoming week because we don't have school tomorrow. I stay home and get caught up on homework. It really puts you in the spirit of homecoming week, doesn't it? I'm also writing a play during this time, watching some Netflix to get caught up on shows for the news seasons starting soon, and selling stuff for my class and a bunch of other organizations. (If anyone wants anything, I'm going to be selling something this whole year. That's how busy I am.)

At least the first 9 weeks are almost up. 27 more weeks to go until summer.

Movies I Saw This Weekend Part 4

Well, actually it was over the past three weekends. I didn't watch any new movies this weekend though, just Epic.

*SPOILERS*

First on August 25th, (that week was my birthday week! I turned 16! Woop! Sweet 16! :D) I went and saw We're the Millers with my family! It was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I know I say that about most movies, but it's always true.

I really loved when they were arguing on the plane, and then the flight attendant came to the back and they started a prayer circle. I've never laughed harder! It was soooo funny! I also liked the weed baby, Lebron. Especially when the car runs it over and the one mom yells, "WHERE'S THE BLOOD??" LOL.

Gosh, you gotta love Kenny. He's so adorkable!

The next movie I saw the next weekend, since it's wasn't out on my birthday weekend, was 1D: This Is Us! I love One Direction with a passion, so of course I thought it was amazing! They are so cute and funny! I never knew how funny until the movie! I think my favorite line was when Harry was caught on a fishing line and said, "My a** is on the line!"

I also really loved when security had to corner the boys or catch them because they would run off! Or when Harry found his Belgian self! Or when Niall proved we are the best fans! OR when Harry was in the trash can! OR OR when Niall dressed up as one of security guys at the concert and told people the band sucked! LOL. It is just amazing how down to Earth they are after all their fame.

One Direction could save me any day :)

Finally, last but not least, I saw Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Which went along way more with the book than the first one. It was awesome. I loved it. It really did the book justice. And it helps when a cutie such as Logan Lerman is playing Percy :)

My favorite part I think was when they were fighting that bull, and Percy totally took it out all by himself. Pretty dang cool.

Look at how adorable he is! :)

Hope you all have seen some good movies lately!

Early Start

Why does school have to start so EARLY??? We started on AUGUST 19TH. THIS SHOULD BE OUTLAWED. WE SHOULDN'T START UNTIL SEPTEMBER OR SOMETHING. IT IS 75 DEGREES OUTSIDE I SHOULD BE AT THE POOL NOT DOING HOMEWORK. THIS WEEK IT WAS 90 DEGREES AND I WAS LEARNING HISTORY.

I DON'T EVEN LIKE HISTORY. WHY DO I HAVE TO BE IN MY SCHOOL WHICH DOESN'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING???? PRETTY SURE IT'S CHILD ABUSE. OUR SCHOOL BELIEVES THAT SCHOOL THIS EARLY HELPS OUR STUDENTS.

NO, IT MAKES US WANT TO KILL ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT.

Honestly, a lot of the stuff I learn at school I will never again use in my life. When am I going to need to know the ideals of the United States? I would rather live in Britain because of all the hot guys. Who cares how many pushups I can do in 30 seconds? If people are worried about that, why don't you make adults attend phy. ed.

On another note:
THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN MY TOWN ARE IDIOTS!!!!!!! And they are really really rude to each other. One of my teachers said to us, "Even if I don't like someone I work with, I don't get to decide.  I just have to deal with it." Well, way to just imply you hate the staff. One of the other people in my advanced biology said our school secretary was bashing the librarian. The librarian is pretty rude sometimes. She likes to yell at little kids when they sit down at lunch next to their siblings. How are we supposed to learning about not bullying when everyone in the school hates each other?

I hate my town. Anyone else feel this way?

Starting School . . .

I started school on Monday :( But I'm a junior now so only 2 years left if you count this year! Yeah I have a LOT of hard classes, like advanced algebra, advanced biology, Spanish II, English 11, US History, and some others. Ugh, it was only the second day and I already want summer. Anyone else feeling like that?

Yeah, Junior year is like the hardest and busiest year I think. I mean, advanced classes, ACTs, getting ready for college applications, extracurriculars, Junior prom, fundraising for your class. SO MUCH STUFF. IT'S OVERWHELMING WE ARE ALL GOING TO BE TIRED BY THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!

I already have what I want to do planned. Go out of state to college for drama and writing. Yep, I can't stand my small town. I really wanna live in a big city.

It's been easy these past 2 days, but I know that this year will be hard.

When do you all start school?
